We know that the art establishment does not accept traditional artists with open arms. Let us try and change this by demanding reform, especially when public money is only spent on the very old and the extremely modern. Let us ensure that traditional art has a place beside the modernists.
People might argue that a photograph can do better than a painting. However will a photo survive even one generation? Will digital storage media still be legible in 20 years time? Had the Egyptians painted abstracts how would we have known how they lived.
