Joachim Lehrer was born in Reutlingen, Germany. After grammar school he spent a year as a lorry driver before studying electrical engineering. Joachim soon decided that art was his real love so he went on to research the history of art and the old painting techniques which he began to implement in his own work.
Joachim has been a professional artist since 1983 attending international exhibitions throughout his career.
He is a member of various art societies and co-founder of the group “New Masters” (Künstlergruppe Neue Meister). His creations can be found in many private and public collections as well as museums on four continents.
Joachim´s paintings tell fairy tale like stories which encourage the viewers to find their own interpretations while they are fascinated by the precision of the baroque glazing techniques and the fantastic depth and light of his works.
