Jonathan Brier

Jonathan Brier holds a degree in illustration from Glyndwr University and subsequently worked as an illustrator until he became a full time professional artist. He now lives in Wrexham, North Wales and has studied Realism in his own time to find a way of presenting his thoughts in an honest yet aesthetically alluring way. He creates evocative Oil Paintings of the human form in a Classic Figurative Tradition, coupled with a Contemporary twist, often with a subtle darkness present.

His favourite oil paints are alkyd colours whose fast drying properties suit him best to create his works. Jonathan has exhibited widely and he runs popular workshops to pass his knowledge on to aspiring artists young and old.
